South Hills Elementary Annual PTA Elections
Annual Meeting
March 26, 6 p.m., auditorium
The annual meeting and officer elections for South Hills Elementary PTA will be held at the time/date listed above. The following people have been nominated for officer positions:
William Martinez, president
Sarah Martinez, vice president
Michele Hussey, treasurer
Michele Godwin, secretary
Members will also be voting on changes to the organization's standing rules and bylaws. Please plan to attend. We look forward to seeing you there!

PTA Meeting Feb.27, 2012
Meeting starts Monday Feb. 27th at 6:00pm.
Our 2nd graders will be performing so come on out and show them your support!
We will have a guest speaker to answer any questions about the Spring-A-Thon event coming up! There will also be assistance with race registrations for Spring-A-Thon sign ups!

The FWISD Parent Portal is an exciting opportunity for parents to become more involved in their child’s education through the convenience of the Internet. You have access to:
- Grades
- Schedule
- TAKS scores
- Homework assignments
- Attendance
- Teacher Contact information
- Student Personal Information: address, phone, e-mail
South Hills Elementary will be hosting Parent Portal sign-up sessions February 6-10 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Special evening hours will be available on Tuesday, February 7---open until 7 p.m.
Check in at the main office for assistance. You will need your ID and an e-mail address to sign up. (Volunteers can help you create an e-mail account if you don't have one.)

Get ready for the Spring-A-Thon! - ¡Prepárate para la Primaver-A-Ton!
The upcoming family run/walk event has a nifty new name: Spring-A-Thon!
Mark T., a South Hills student, submitted this name--which was chosen among many entries
for this fantastic event. Way to go Mark!
The Spring-A-Thon will take place on Saturday, March 31. This family run/walk event is hosted by our Adopt-A-School partner, South Hills Christian Church. The run/walk will wind its way through the neighborhood. All proceeds from the event will go toward improvements on the church's east lot. Plans are underway to turn this space into a park setting--with walkways, benches and fountains. A beautiful new addition to the community!

El próximo evento familiar carrera/caminata tiene un nombre nuevo y hábil: Primaver-A-Ton!
Mark T., estudiante de South Hills, presento este nombre - que fue elegida entre muchas entradas para este fantástico evento. Buen trabajo Mark!
La Primaver-A-Ton se llevará a cabo el sábado, 31 de marzo. Este evento sera organizado por nuestro asociado, South Hills Christian Church. La carrera/caminata terminará su paso por el barrio. Todas las ganancias del evento se destinará a mejorar el lote al este de la iglesia. Hay planes para convertir este espacio en un parque - con paseos, bancos y fuentes. Una hermosa adición a la comunidad!
